Review: Bound to Submit (Blasphemy #1) by Laura Kaye

*****5 Stars*****

Having been a huge fan of Laura Kaye's Hard Ink series, I was practically giddy with excitement when I found out about her newest series taking place in an exclusive BDSM club and focusing on the twelve masters who frequent it. Bound to Submit is the first book in Kaye's new Blasphemy series and it gets the series off to an emotional and extremely well written start!
Kenna has come home form the Marines with both physical and emotional scars. She knows the only way to deal with her pain is through submission and she visits Blasphemy hoping to find a Dom that can help her find the freedom and safety only that submission will bring. Her only problem is she knows only one man can truly provide what she needs and he broke her heart years ago when he refused her submission. Stronger and more aware of the world, she is determined to convince him to take her on and is prepared to guard her heart, expecting nothing more than his Dominance this time around.
Griffin knows he messed up years ago when he turned Kenna away. She ran from her heartache and joined the Marines and he has never forgotten her. When she walks into his BDSM club years later he knows he hopes he can redeem himself and make the right choices this time. He's worried though that he will cause her more pain and her physical scars are proof she has already been through much more than she should have had to endure.
Bound to Submit is a beautifully written second chance romance. I loved watching Griffin and Kenna navigate their way through past regrets and mistakes to find a love that could heal them both. The BDSM scenes are well written and this story definitely had all of the feels as we navigate Griffin and Kenna's demons. This was a wonderful start to an intriguing new series and I am looking forward to watching as all of the masters in Blasphemy find their submissives.

From the ruins of an abandoned church comes Baltimore’s hottest and most exclusive BDSM club. Twelve Masters. Infinite fantasies. Welcome to Blasphemy...

He thinks he caused her pain, but she knows he’s the only one who can heal her…

Kenna Sloane lost her career and her arm in the Marines, and now she feels like she’s losing herself. Submission is the only thing that ever freed her from pain and made her feel secure, and Kenna needs to serve again. Bad. The only problem is the Dom she wants once refused her submission and broke her heart, but, scarred on the inside and out, she’s not looking for love this time. She’s not even sure she’s capable.

Griffin Hudson is haunted by the mistakes that cost him the only woman he ever loved. Now she’s back at his BDSM club, Blasphemy, and more beautiful than ever, and she’s asking for his help with the pain he knows he caused. Even though he’s scared to hurt her again, he can’t refuse her, because he’d give anything to earn a second chance. And this time, he’ll hold on forever.
