Review: Tru Blue by Melissa Foster

*****5 Stars*****

This book is everything. I took my time with it over the course of a couple of days to absorb every single word the way it deserves. I knew as soon as I read the first chapter I was going to love it and that I did and more.
Tru is a real man who will fiercely protect those he loves. He is loyal, sweet, brave and hot all rolled into one. His character is definitely worthy of every readers attention. Coming from life in the slums as I would call it he has vowed to be the opposite of everything he knows and more. He wants so badly to be worthy of Gemma's love but is scared he is letting her down or isn't good enough for her especially since he has 2 children in tow.

Gemma is kind and considerate but she won't live any part of her life that is a lie. Gemma comes from the rich side of life but her upbringing was far from good. Locked in a gated community and made to mix with the high society in life with no love from her parents was not something she enjoyed in life.
So opposites attract as they say and these 2 characters have had polar opposite lives although both shunned by love from their parents, can 2 people who are from different side of the tracks make a life with each other?

I can't praise this book enough. Iv'e not went over much of the story because there's so much more to it than can be explained. This was the first book by Melissa Foster I have read and it definitely won't be the last. The story is gut wrenching and will leave you feeling nothing but sadness especially for Tru. The story of the harsh realities that Tru came from happen out here in the real world in everyday family life for some. I can't recommend this book enough, it's a definite must read.
***Warning this book contains subject matter that some may find hard to deal with, namely drug addiction, murder and rape in a past tense flashback***
