Review: Sweet Talkin' Scoundrel by Tess Oliver

*****4.5 Stars*****

Kinley Kennedy is running away from life and so end up with a job teaching a little girl on a remote island. When she arrives in a little run down town to catch her sea plane to the island the last thing she expected was a man dripping with sex appeal and good looks. The feeling is mutual with Dax towards Kinley and so the chemistry is sizzling hot. All is not well though as there are secrets involved, Dax knows why Kinley has been hired on the Island but lets her find out in her own time. Both are hiding things and it can all go quickly downhill. Dax has a lot of women chasing him so can they overcome secrets and can he commit to one girl? You will just have to read to find out!
I love a good book from Tess Oliver, they are always dripping with sex appeal and hook the reader in. This book is no different, it's fast paced, sweet and sexy all rolled into one. My only little teeny weeny gripe was that I think it could have been strung out a little bit more as I felt we needed to read more on Dax and his situation. Overall though I have been left satisfied and although I know this is a standalone, I would have loved to seen a HEA for one of the side characters Marcus.

A full-length sexy standalone from NYT Bestselling author Tess Oliver.

"He was movie screen perfect. But there was no question that an inordinate amount of trouble came with that face. He was one of those men who you spotted and allowed yourself the luxury to look at and daydream about just before the rational side of your brain kicked in to say 'run—run like hell and never look back'."

A mistake in her past has left Kinley Kennedy with no choice except to run from her old life and find one far away. But she never could have predicted what she'd discover there. Has she made the right move or is she destined to run again?
