Review: For the Love of English by A.M. Hargrove

*****5 Stars*****

For the Love of English is my first solo novel by the author as I've read and loved her collaborations with another favorite author of mine! This book was such a breath of fresh air from what I've been reading lately and I loved it! This book gave me all the feels: I laughed, I yelled, I cried. It will take you on the emotional roller coaster of a lifetime while having just enough angst to keep you captivated from start to finish. It was very well written with an original storyline and multidimensional characters that you can't help but you fall in love with.
We have Sheridan who has not had an easy life and has had to work her butt off to get through school. She is starting her first day of work as a 1st grade teacher. She is a heroine who I loved from the beginning and one you can definitely relate to which I haven't found a lot of in books these days.
Then we have Beckley Bridges. Oh how I loved Beck! He is a single father to one English Bridges who is the most adorable sweet funny 1st grader who you will fall in love with immediately and she will put you "under the rainbow" for the whole book. She is a sweet, tough, amazing, bright little girl who will capture your heart and if I ever have children, I hope to have one just like her. Beck comes across as quiet, rude, and arrogant when he first meets Sheridan but as the book progresses he is this sweet, amazing, hard working father and guy that will stop at nothing to protect the ones he loves and cares about. The way he is with English is just amazing and he is the best father a girl could ask for.
To say I loved this book is a big understatement. I think this might be in my top 10 favorite books of 2016. It had everything that I love to see in a book. You have angst, love, passion, sexy single fathers, insanely cute little girls, and a storyline that will absolutely capture your heart and stay with you. I highly recommend one clicking and falling in love with Beckley, English, and Sheridan like I did. I can't wait to read more from the author and see what she has in store for us next.

From USA Today Bestselling Author, A.M. Hargrove, comes a New Adult, Single Dad, Sexy, Stand Alone Romance.

Single dad,
Beckley Bridges, is sexy as hell.
No, really, he’s the hottest thing since the sun was created.
Honest to God, crack an egg on him and the thing will sizzle.
So what’s the problem?
He’s also a gigantic jerk.
I hate the bastard.
I try to avoid him at all costs.
But for some reason, everywhere I go he seems to show up.

Only the real issue is his daughter, English.
She’s an adorable quirky first-grader who’s the sweetest thing since iced tea.
And she’s one of my students but also the love of his life.
So I have to deal with him on a professional level.
It’s not easy.
On a scale of easy to hard, dealing with Beckley Bridges is like nails screeching across a blackboard.

But when English’s mother tries to gain custody after abandoning her on Beckley’s doorstep as an infant, he’ll do anything possible to keep English under his roof.

That’s how he ends up propositioning me.
And crazy as it sounds?

I find myself considering it.
