5 'totally want to pull my hair out' stars
As I anticipated from my review of The Excess series, this is Taylor's story.
Anyone who has not read anything by Angelica Chase, I would strongly recommend you read her Sexual Awakenings series then The Excess series before reading this, as there is a continuation that could reveal some spoilers if read in a different order.
It was clear from the last series that Taylor was harboring a past and to some degree that is explained in this book. This one was much longer than the others books I've read. Almost the size of a full length novel, compared to the shorter stories I've become accustomed to from this author, but what had me wanting to go shake some sense into Angelica Chase (Yes Ms Chase, you have made me mad), was the fact that I can't dive straight into the next book. I'm talking pure torture here. I can't be left hanging like this.
Having read all of her books, this one felt like Ms Chase has grown tremendously as an author. I've loved all her books so far, but this one just felt so much more. The story had a lot more depth and suspense.
Daniello was a character I loved to hate at first. I felt despite his incredible sexiness, he was so arrogant and quite honestly a complete b**tard, but the fact he knows his way around a woman's body had me forgiving him for everything. There are still things yet to learn about him, but by the end I was completely in love with him and his broken English.
Taylor, what can I say about her? I already knew she was a force to be reckoned with, but she was so much more in this book. She'd built up so many emotional walls, because of her past, that it was hard not to sympathise with her. I loved how she was more than a match for Daniello and probably the only person to get away with correcting his English.
I'm not used to this feeling of frustration from this author, but I urge you Angelica Chase..........Please Please Please..............I'm Begging.............Give us book Two.

I lived my life by two principles: order and excellence.
My moral compass steered me out of the slums of backwoods Tennessee and towards the woman I was destined to become, but not without gathering a few skeletons along the way.
Eventually, I found success, but my restless, relentless nature still left me feeling unsatisfied.
Then I met a ghost of a man.
At first, I was sure Daniello was a figment of my imagination, a beautiful and dangerous apparition with a fat cock and an animalistic hunger. He threatened my control and need for order, and in his absence, I became more haunted by my past.
He wanted me submissive.
I wanted to know him.
Then my ghost met my skeletons.
