I jumped at the chance to read this collaboration by two of my favorite authors. I was immediately captivated by that title and that gorgeous cover! The premise of this book was witty and light hearted and exactly what you'd expect from a romantic comedy but you get so much more than that as well. This story and the characters had depth and emotion that came out of the blue for me and made it that much more enjoyable.
Evie is an attorney and desperately needs to bring in more lucrative clients if she expects to be considered for partner. When she is approached by an unusual client who must remain anonymous, she sees the opportunity to elevate her career status while also helping out one of the sexiest men she's ever laid eyes on. Josh is part of one of the wealthiest families of Portland. He is a successful architect by day, and an NSFW blogger by night. Lately, he's been presented with some unique work opportunities and as a result, must get legal advice from someone completely unassociated with his family. The chemistry is off the charts combustible from the moment these two lay eyes on one another, but they just have the issue of lawyer-client relationships being inappropriate and forbidden.
I loved the main characters in this story. They were complete opposites yet made the perfect couple and you couldn't help but to love them. Evie was a tad too insecure and weak for my liking but Josh more than made up for that with all of his sexiness. I actually forgot that this book was written by two authors as the writing had an effortless flow about it. I am excited to see what these two have in store for us in the future!
