This story was bloody brilliant! I'm not usually a fan of books written in third person but this worked and AM Hargrove did a great job portraying the emotion of the characters, the fact that it was in third person didn't make me fell disconnected like it usually does. Her writing drew me in and I found it really difficult to put this book down. ...
Gabriella is a psychiatrist with a messed up past. She left and tried to get away but it keeps following her. It's finally followed her to New York and seeing HIM again after so many years meant Gabriella needed a drink. She meets Kolson Hart in a bar, him being a gentleman makes sure she's safe for the night. However he feels an attraction to her that normally he would ignore, the thing is with Gabriella he can't. Kolson has deep issues of his own and finds it hard to trust people, so letting Gabby a psychiatrist into is life isn't easy for him. He's a very strong, confident, domineering man on the surface but underneath he's broken just like her.
Gabriella's stalker is relentless he wants her all for himself and hates that she and Kolson seem to be together all the time. So he waits and watches putting a plan into action to "get his girl back".

This novel is a great cross between romance and thriller. The sensitive issues like drug abuse and rape, I thought were written very well. She has inserted a whole rehab support system into this novel and it gives you a brief insight into what it's like to be vulnerable in that kind of way.
AM Hargrove has created characters you can fall in love with. From the main characters to Kolson's driver. Gabriella's friends are great characters all with their own stories to tell I imagine. I cannot wait to read the rest of this series.
