Review: Riot (Scarred Souls #4) by Tillie Cole

*****5 Stars*****

Well if Tillie Cole hasn't just gone and done it again, creating an epic adventure for all the characters in The Scarred Soul series and bringing it to an explosive end.

This is the story of 192 aka Valentin's sister (we met Valentin in Ravage) Sent back to her master from the Russian underground where she was drugged with type B injections and conditioned into being a mona whore by Mistress Arziani until she was called back to Georgia's blood pit by Master Arziana (The Mistress's brother). The Master makes her his high Mona meaning only he will have her. When the Masters champion fighter 901 starts disobeying his orders in the pit by ending his fights in seconds, the master uses his high mona 192 by injecting the type B drug into her and throwing her in his cell to try and seduce him into having her in order to distract him. However what he didn't plan on was for them to connect in another way. 901 has always refused a mona in his cell but when he learns that she will die if her body doesn't get what it craves he gives in to save her life.

Back in New York Valentin is planning along with Kirill, Luka and Zaal are planning to take down the pit and free the captors once and for all and to bring home Valentins sister 192. When Master calls for a tournament of champions from each gulag it presents the perfect opportunity to put plans into place. Will they all make it out alive?

Wowzers, what an epic end to an amazing series! I know Tillie said this was the last book but there is so much more I want to know from this series. I loved these characters. 192 is so strong against her master but yet so sweet towards those that matter to her and her determination to survive is visible. 901 is a true warrior with so much strength and determination on his side. These 2 were a perfect match for each other. They both always believed they would die deep in the underground of their masters blood pits but yet still yearned for the freedom they feared they would never get. They truly were an awesome couple. I would love to know more on the happy endings for some of the side characters like Maya. Is it bad that I don't want to let go of this series? I love a good dark read and Tillies books are always original in plot and brilliantly written. I can't wait to see what darkness Tillie writes for us next.

Stolen by the Arziani Georgian crime mob as a child, 152 was raised and conditioned to be a Mona—the most subservient of the Arziani Blood Pit slaves.

Gorgeous and kind, she has been and under the imprisoning influence of the Type B drug and under the command of the Blood Pit Master’s sister, Mistress Arziani, for most of her life, until the Master calls her back home to Georgia.

He wants her under his total control, and Master always gets what he wants.

But when 152 is gifted to the Blood Pit’s fearsome champion death match fighter as a prize, 152 suddenly finds out that the men who appear most brutal, may just own the kindest hearts. And love may be found, even when living in hell.

Freedom, family, love, 152 will have to fight for what she wants and ultimately make an impossible choice.
