Review: Restrained Under His Duty by Stacey Kennedy

****3.5 Stars****

This is the 3rd book in the series and whilst not a lot was known about Ryder & Hadley before delving into their world, I definitely knew there was a story between these two from the previous book in this series.

I anticipated there to be a lot of tension and angst between these characters, but I was somewhat confused at Ryders almost nonchalant attitude to Hadley's sex life. To me it just went against the grain of what I class an Alpha male to be and whilst being away from the norm can sometimes be a good thing, I'm afraid in this instance, I just didn't buy into it.

I also felt that Ryder did a complete 180° when it came to succumbing to a relationship with Hadley and again that just didn't quite feel believable enough for me.

Considering the nature of these characters I would have expected lots of passion and domination in the bedroom, but all I got was tender moments that, whilst nice and all, felt more like a gentle simmer. I wanted it to reach boiling point, but sadly it never got there.

Now parts of this book did start to creep into the realms of darkness at one point, but never quite fully immersed itself to the dark side, however even though I expected so much more from this book, having loved the previous two, I did still enjoy it.
