Review: Full Package by Lauren Blakely

*****4.5 Stars*****

There's just something about Lauren Blakely's books. I wouldn't say the storylines are particularly complex, but I can say with absolute certainty they are hot, quick, enjoyable reads with such likeable characters.
This book once again is being classified as a stand alone, but like the previous ones, there does seem to be a link with the appearances of former heroes and heroines. But it isn't essential that you read their books, as not much, if any, in the way of spoilers is revealed.
In this book we have Chase, an Emergency Room/A&E doctor and Josie, owner of her own bakery. They're already friends who by a matter of circumstance end up becoming room-mates. I loved the instant chemistry these two had. I loved how at ease they were with one another despite battling with themselves that they could be more than friends and I loved that Chase was, by Josie's admission, a Doctor McHottie.
Mostly the book is told in Chase's point of view and I do believe Lauren has absolutely nailed the male point of view. However there are brief moments where we get a glimpse of Josie's thoughts and I felt these moments were particularly unique and well thought out.
As for the sex scenes it was definitely all about the build up and the sexual tension these two had. In fact how they hadn't got together sooner, I do not know.
Once again Ms Blakely has given us a funny, witty, feel good, sexy book that was just what I needed, so couldn't have asked for anything more from a book.

From the New York Times Bestselling author of MISTER O and BIG ROCK, comes a hot & hilarious new standalone romantic comedy…

I’ve been told I have quite a gift.

Hey, I don’t just mean in my pants. I’ve got a big brain too, and a huge heart of gold. And I like to use all my gifts to the fullest, the package included. Life is smooth sailing....

Until I find myself stuck between a rock and a sexy roommate, which makes for one very hard…place.

Because scoring an apartment in this city is harder than finding true love. So even if I have to shack up with my buddy’s smoking hot and incredibly amazing little sister, a man’s got to do what a man’s got to do.

I can resist Josie. I’m disciplined, I’m focused, and I keep my hands to myself, even in the mere five-hundred square feet we share. Until the one night she insists on sliding under the covers with me. It’ll help her sleep after what happened that day, she says.

Spoiler—neither one of us sleeps.

Did I mention she’s also one of my best friends? That she’s brilliant, beautiful and a total firecracker? Guess that makes her the full package too.

What’s a man stuck in a hard place to do?
