*****4.5 Stars*****
This book was brilliant! I'm heartbroken ...just ... Everything that happened then that ending .. I'm in bits! Oakley and Cole are the cutest and both deserve happiness. Oakley doesn't speak, she hasn't since she was five, if she doesn't speak then no one will get hurt, that's what she always thought, however not speaking broke her mums heart. That never stopped Cole being her friend though, he loves her alway...s did so what if she didn't talk anymore that never mattered to him, he learned how to read her body language and her eyes and it made him love her more.
This book is very much about young love and how having someone there for you unconditionally can make a life changing situation easier to live with even if that person never knew what happened, just being there and never acting any differently towards her mattered, it made all the difference to her life.
The emotion poured into this book is obvious and that made it a great read even though it was sad in places. In others it was lighter and fun. It showed that people act differently to pain and upset. Oakley never wanted to hurt anyone by telling them what hurt her.. So she kept silent.

This is the first book of Natasha Preston's that I've read but it won't be the last.
Blurb
For eleven years, Oakley Farrell has been silent. At the age of five, she stopped talking, and no one seems to know why. Refusing to communicate beyond a few physical actions, Oakley remains in her own little world.
Bullied at school, she has just one friend, Cole Benson. Cole stands by her, refusing to believe that she is not perfect the way she is. Over the years, they have developed their own version of a normal friendship. However, will it still work as they start to grow even closer?
When Oakley is forced to face someone from her past, can she hold her secret in any longer?
