When 19 year old Hayden Hayes leaves her small town in Hastings Nebraska to pursue a modelling career in New York, she's excited and feeling positive, she also believes she has signed up to having a female housemate in a swanky new pad she can barely afford. However when she reaches her destination all she see's is a run down building with no working elevator and six floors worth of stairs she has to climb. That's not all though when she reaches the apartment she thinks there has to be some sort of mistake because who comes swaggering along the corridor to greet her? none other than 20 year old Soren Decker, but wait she is a he and a very good looking he at that!

There's worse to come though because once they sort out that little bit of misunderstood information Soren takes her on a tour of the flat which isn't a swanky pad at all, there was no bedrooms just dividers separating the main living space to create a bed space on either side of the room, she's mucked out stalls bigger than their sleeping space. Hayden isn't amused but hey it's only for 6 months right, surely such little time would be easy to get through without either killing each other or against all odds falling in love?
I love everything Nicole Williams writes although admittedly I prefer her darker and more angsty side to the sweet contemporary side. The characters in this book are young adults so when reading I had to bare that in mind when they were being immature. Soren is all kinds of sweet, always listening to his Mama and trying to do whats right to please Hayden. Hayden can be a bit of a bitchy nightmare at times but she soon learns that compromise is everything and that not everything is going to be served on a plate to her because Soren works just as hard if not harder at times. The writing flows well and the banter between the two of them will keep you entertained. Overall another easy and enjoyable read from the author.

Soren Decker. He’s the epitome of the “bad boy, good man” persona. The best of both worlds. The worst of them too. He’s the type of guy most girls wouldn’t mind sharing a confined space with, except my new roommate isn’t all swagger and chiseled abs.
He’s bossy. Messy. Cocky. Infuriating. Doesn’t believe in personal space. Has no qualms about roaming the apartment with a loincloth-sized towel cinched around his waist. Seems under the delusion he’s my personal protector (refer back to infuriating). He plays college baseball and holds down a part-time job—I don’t know where he finds the time to get on my nerves.
We have nothing in common . . . except our attraction to one another. And in six hundred square feet of shared space, the tension only has so much room to grow before one of us gives in to temptation. But really, what chance do a couple of young kids chasing their dreams in the big city have of making it?
Since Soren claims I know squat about sports (he might have a semi-point), here’s a stat for him—one in a million. That’s our odds.
