Review: The Dangerous Billionaire by Jackie Ashenden

*****4.5 Stars*****

This was my first book by this author and I will seriously be looking at some of her backlog and hitting that one click button to get my fill.

What can I say except SCORCHING HOT ALERT!!! I'm not going to rehash any plot because what you need to know is in the blurb and seriously you just need to read it without knowing anything and I bet you get pulled in.

I love a well written book with a good plot line and I wasn't left disappointed with this one, in fact I was really pleasantly surprised by it. I went in totally blind because I had clicked on the galley widget by accident when I received it from the publisher for consideration so I thought what the heck I'm going to give it a go. Usually when I see books that say billionaire on the front I give them a wide berth because I have read a million cheesy billionaire books in all my years of reading but this definitely wasn't in that category and I knew that only one chapter in. I am so glad I took a chance and read this book.

The male lead Van is all kinds of hot and dreamy and he has that thing where my voice means authority dominant side to him but when he see's Chloe his foster sister for the first time in 8 years after their foster father dies, I think he realises he has met his match.Chloe is all kinds of Sassy but has that vulnerable side that she doesn't show that often. Aside from the 2 main characters we have Lucas and Wolf who are the other 2 foster brothers and they are both also Seals (yum yum).

The only thing lacking for me in this book was a little more Epilogue although with this only being the first book in the series we will no doubt be seeing more of Van and Chloe. I really hope we find out about Lucas next because so far he has been very secretive in his actions and I kinda need to know why?

Money doesn't always change the man in this new standalone romance from Jackie Ashenden.

Navy SEAL Sullivan "Van" Tate has been called home to reluctantly inherit an empire and finds himself facing the most difficult mission of all: love.

"Sinfully sexy."--Opal Carew on Mine to Take

Nothing about Sullivan "Van" Tate is what it seems. A Navy SEAL raised among the New York City elite, Van prefers heart-pounding action over a Wall Street corner office. But when his adoptive father dies and his business rivals move in to overtake his empire, Van must suit up to save the company and protect the one woman most forbidden to him…and the object of Van's most dangerous desires.

Chloe Tate is as ambitious as she is gorgeous. With a newfound independence, Chloe is no longer a prisoner on her father’s ranch. But everything changes when losing her father may also mean losing her life. Even with her survival on the line, Chloe can’t deny the burning attraction she feels the moment she locks eyes with Van, her rich, rough and ready, foster brother and the new head of her father’s company. Tall, dark, and muscled, he's the one man who she has no business being with. But how can she resist a Navy Seal Warrior when he’ll do anything to protect her?
