This book is a prime example that K Bromberg is definitely an author to be reckoned with. Being the first book in a two part series, or so I'm led to believe, is one of the reasons this book took me by complete surprise.
I love to hate Cliffhangers and I'm not saying this book has a cliffhanger, but imagine this....Me over dramatically falling to my knees at the end and crying out Noooooooooo! Yeah thats how this book made me feel, but that's a good thing, apart from the fact that I now need book 2 like I need air to breathe, but this book got me hook, line and sinker.
Easton Wylder, hot shot baseball player for the Austin Aces, has been out of action due to a potentially career threatening injury. His hope for a swift return lies in the hands of Scout Dalton, Physical Therapist.
As with all good books the lead characters had incredible chemistry. Easton's humour was playful and add that to his extreme sexiness and an air of vulnerability, but still maintaining an alpha male quality, made him absolutely perfect.
From the very beginning I easily got into Scout's mindset and what I loved about her was her sarcasm and wit, especially towards Easton, but at the same time it touched me how much she just needed someone to love her, but feeling like she had noone to turn to.
It isn't very often that a book takes me by complete surprise and a lot of this may have been that I went into this blindly, having not even read the synopsis.
K Bromberg is simply just one of those authors for me, where by I'm fairly confident I'm going to be immersed in another world for a few hours and this book did not disappoint in any way, shape or form.
