What do you get when two Greek Gods who love to play games, use two unsuspecting humans as their pawns? A solidly entertaining read! Staci Hart tackles Greek mythology against the backdrop of a contemporary NA romance in Paper Fools and I loved every minute of it!
Aphrodite's personal life is a mess. She'd much rather mettle in the affairs of human love than deal with her own issues. She and Apollo are in engaged in a continuous game involving poor unsuspecting humans. If Aphrodite can make two selected people fall in love in a month, she wins. If she can't Apollo wins. Love is her speciality and she has no plans to lose.
Lex and Dean are the two poor unsuspecting souls who are about to have their hearts mettled with. There is an immediate attraction between them, but neither is willing to risk the professional fallout or personal hurt taking a chance in each other would involve. They soon find out that staying apart is easier said than done, especially when two very determined Greek gods are at work behind the scenes.
I enjoyed Paper Fools tremendously. Hart does an excellent job juggling Greek Mythology along with a contemporary romance storyline. This plays out almost like two novels since we have the Greek storyline happening along with Lex and Dean's story. I've read a number of romance over the years that have elements of Greek Mythology, but this one took a unique approach I found intriguing and refreshing. I'm very much looking forward to seeing where this series takes us next.
