Review: Danny's Main (Charistown) by Lisa N. Paul

*****5 Stars*****

This book falls within The Charistown Series by the author but can easily be read as a standalone or as an opener to the series or if you have read the series a look back at the life of two characters. A lovely book that covers almost 30 years of the couple's relationship, with many great reminders of the years as they pass, the pacing of the timeframe is done smoothly without feeling dragged out.
I just loved the character of Danny, he is rough around the edges but loves fiercely and none more than his wife Julie. He is hot, sexy, and quite a dirty talker which I loved about him. When we met Danny he wasn't looking for anything more than having a drink to forget the anniversary of his brother's death until he encountered Julie behind the bar. I loved the way the start of their relationship played out and that it took Danny by surprise. Julie is a lovely character, strong willed and independent even though her story from the start was quite tragic. I loved the way she handled Danny from the beginning and constantly kept him on his toes.
I loved their story together even though they went through so many hard times they endured them together and always came back stronger as individuals and as a couple. It was great to see how their bar 'Danny's on Main' came to be and how we got to meet a cast of characters along the way that came into Danny & Julie's life and as a result built the family that they so greatly deserved.
A lovely lovely read that made me laugh, cry, sigh and which I thoroughly enjoyed.
