Ignoring him, I settled back on my stool and surveyed the room. We sat in Becca’s section, and what I saw wasn’t making me happy. I knew she was a good waitress, but she’d just started here and it showed. Not only had she fucked up several orders, she didn’t quite seem to get the rhythm of the bar. That wasn’t my problem, though.
My problem was that despite these fuckups, nobody seemed to mind. I had a nasty suspicion this was due to her perky tits, friendly smile, and tight little ass that seriously just needed a bite taken right out of it.
She really, really needed to get a new job—every man in the place wanted her. Including me. Especially me. I hated them. All of them. I shifted uncomfortably, because just like every time I shared a room with her, my pants had gotten tight.
Torture. Becca was just so fucking fine on every level, and not just her looks. There was something about the way she carried herself . . . I couldn’t put my finger on it. Like she was dancing through life to some song nobody else could hear. Never met another woman like her—she wasn’t just sexy, she was a survivor and I admired that.
She’d grown up so much since the first time I’d met her. Bigger boobs, a nice fullness to her ass that was nowhere close to fat but would be perfect to hold tight while I fucked her. Her lips had plumped, too, and over the years she’d gained a sparkle in her eyes that turned her from pretty to 100 percent spectacular.

Okay, so there were a few problems with the plan, the top one being she hated me. Or she should—I’d certainly given her cause. Boonie nudged me.

Joanna Wylde does it again!
This is the first in the series, a spin-off from the Reapers series. It does involve an MC, the Silver Bastards MC but it is not centred around the MC.
This is the story of Becca who has lived a pretty sh*tty existence with her druggy mother and rapist step-father until one night she meets Puck. Puck has just gotten out of prison that day, he shared a cell with Painter from the Reapers series and the Reapers and Silver Bastards are throwing a party for them both to celebrate their release. Puck sets his sights on Becca early on in the night and she appears to return his interest. Only, unbeknownst to Puck, Becca has been forced into keeping him company for the night by her step-father. This all comes out the next morning along with the revelation that she's only just 16 years of age. Puck is disgusted that this young girl was forced into being with him and he risks himself and his MC brothers and takes Becca home with him to get her away from her step-father. Five years on and Becca has a life of her own, freedom and a feeling of security she never had before. Puck is a constant in her life although they aren't close or even friends, there is an awkwardness between them due to their past and Becca is actually rather scared of him at the same time as feeling safe knowing he watches out for her. When situations arise that throw Puck and Becca together it becomes clear that there are some unresolved feelings there. Puck is not a straightforward guy, he doesn't make it easy to like him right off the bat, he's arrogant and cocky and can be a downright douche but he's also hot as hell! Becca is an amazing character, she makes it hard not to love her, she's been through hell and yet surprisingly she doesn't dwell on her past.
I loved this book, but then that's a given as it's Joanna Wylde. I didn't think I'd love it as much as I have the others because I've grown so attached to the characters in the Reapers books but Becca and Puck drew me in right away. Their story is addictive and they are great characters. And of course it was great that we come into contact with the Reapers crew again. I believe Painter's story from the Reapers series will be next but I'm also really looking forward to more from the Silver Bastards.
