First of all I feel the need to say I don't read a lot of YA as it generally isn't my thing. Usually I prefer hot and steamy with a good plot to go along but I was swayed by the blurb for Trust because it sounded really angsty. This book delivered all the angst and more and I enjoyed every single minute of reading it.
Edie is an incredible character, she's smart, confident, funny and can definitely hold her own and she becomes even stronger after being involved in a horrific robbery which would break most people. Edie was extremely easy to love and connect with and I loved that she stuck up for her friends and would fight tooth and nail for what she wanted.
John I found a bit odd at times. Initially he came across as strong and confident then I found him to withdraw and become shy and weak at times especially when it came to Edie or his brother Dillon but he had loads of swoon worthy moments too. However I couldn't not love him because he went outside the norm of romance books by loving the girl who didn't have the perfect figure or sex appeal that the alphas in our stories usually go for.
The story itself was written extremely well and had enough going on to make me turn the pages, I just didn't want to put it down at all. As well as angst there was heartache, bitterness, betrayal, love and a whole load of other emotions going on, there was a few hysterical moments between Edie and her friend Hang as well that I laughed really loud at. I just couldn't get enough of this book and I wanted so badly for it to continue. The only little gripe I had was that I would liked to have saw a longer ending to the story as I felt it ended within the space of a few pages. I really hope the author considers writing more of these characters, maybe seeing more of Edie and John in a book for Anders and Hang would suffice. Either way I can't wait to see what Kylie Scott writes for us next.
