*****5 STARS*****
Vi Keeland just keeps getting better and better.
I absolutely love love love a professor/student romance. It's usually the whole forbidden love thing that has me glued to the pages, however this book wasn't your average professor/student romance for many reasons, but certainly no less amazing.
From the very beginning it was clear that Rachel and Caine had tons of chemistry and the fact that Caine was a first class 'A-hole' made it even more thrilling.
I loved Caine for obvious reasons. He had that whole hot professor thing going on, but there were so many more layers to him.
Rachel, for me, was the perfect heroine. I know I always bang on about loving a strong, feisty chick, but really I don't do the whole damsel in distress routine very well and Rachel was the very opposite to that. It was also her feistiness that I think Caine was drawn to amongst other things.
This book comes highly recommended, especially as it turned out to be so much more than I ever could have expected and the fact that I read it in a matter of hours without once being distracted (Which is so often the case with my short attention span) is another reason why it deserves so much more than the allotted 5 stars.

A sexy new standalone from #1 New York Times bestselling author, Vi Keeland
The first time I met Caine West was in a bar.
He noticed me looking his way and mistakenly read my scowling as checking him out.
When he attempted to talk to me, I set him straight—telling him what I thought of his lying, cheating, egomaniacal ass.
You see, the gorgeous jerk had wined and dined my best friend--smooth talking her into his bed, all along failing to mention that he was married.
He deserved every bit of my tongue-lashing and more for what he'd done.
Especially when that lazy smile graced his perfect face in response to my rant.
Only it turned out, the man I'd just told off wasn't the right guy.
Oops. My mistake.
Embarrassed, I slunk out without an apology.
I was never going to see the handsome stranger again anyway, right?
That’s what I thought…until I walked into class the next morning.
Well, hello Professor West, I’m your new teaching assistant.
I’ll be working under you…figuratively speaking.
Although the literal interpretation might not be such a bad thing—working under Professor West.
This was going to be interesting…
