Review: Buy Me, Sir by Jade West

*****4.5 Stars*****

Jade West does kink very well and I always look forward to each of her new books. Buy Me, Sir, was interesting and I very much enjoyed the storyline (interestingly enough, I was expecting the kink to be a bit more intense/dark).

Alexander is a high profile criminal defense attorney. He is know as the Puppet Master because he pulls the strings of those around him to get his clients off. He doesn't just like manipulating people in the courtroom, he also gets a thrill out of manipulating women sexually. He keeps his personal proclivities private due to his public life. He buys women who will perfectly fit his needs, but he doesn't like women that are simply going through the motions. He needs the women he is with to actually want to give up control and be played with as badly as he needs to exercise that control.

Melissa (Lissa) has had a hard life and was forced to grow up too soon due to circumstances outside of her control. A chance run in with Alexander has led to something of an obsession for her. She is determined to find a way into her life and through careful planning and hard work, that day finally comes. Lissa manipulates circumstances and Alexander so that she can be the woman he buys next.

When things finally fall into place it is amazing how perfect they are. She is with the man she has dreamed of for years and under his hands she feels pleasure she has never experiences. Alexander is also in awe or Lissa. She is everything he has dreamed of and it seems like there is no limit she would not let him push past. She is the perfect release from the stress of his daily public life and he enjoys every second he spends controlling her.

As Lissa and Alexander develop a deeper and deeper bond, her guilt over her manipulation begins to eat away at her. How will the Puppet Master, a man who lives to get his way and manipulate those around him, deal with the eventual knowledge that he himself has been played.

Jade West has another hit with Buy Me, Sir. Alexander and Lissa are two interesting characters that at times can be frustrating and even unlikable, but somehow manage to pull you completely in and make you root for them. I was on pins and needles waiting for Alexander to find out how Lissa manipulated things to become his. Their relationship with intense, kinky and completely entertaining.

They call him the puppet master.
They say he’s dirty, dark and dangerous.
And they’re right.
He’s everything they say he is, and more.
So much more.

Alexander Henley has no idea I exist. No idea whatsoever how much I want him.
But that’s all about to change.
Because if there’s one thing I know about the puppet master, it’s that he pays well to pull women’s strings.
And I’m going to be his next purchase.
