Review: Royally Matched by Emma Chase

*****5 Stars*****

From being a little girl, most of us fell in love with at least one fairytale or another, especially one that involves a Princess and a handsome Prince. Well this book is like a fairytale for adults.

I loved Prince Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco from reading the first book in this series, but my word he is absolutely perfect in this book. He's not only hot, but he's incredibly funny, sweet (if not a little bit clueless at times, which in all honesty adds to his charm). He has such a carefree attitude initially, but you know deep down there is a guy just wanting to just be accepted. And there is a certain vulnerability about him without losing any of his masculinity whatsoever. I absolutely, well and truly fell in love with him.

That leads us on to Matched: Royal Edition. Which is basically a TV dating reality show and it is here Henry meets Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum. Sarah is initially the absolute opposite to Henry in every way. She's sensible and definitely not an act first, think later kind of girl, but something about her clearly resonates with Henry and it's very clear as to what that is pretty early on in this book. She definitely was a character that I felt strongly about.

Despite this book being so funny in parts, thanks to Henry's antics, there were also some incredibly beautiful moments. It also didn't do any harm to have a few insanely hot sex scenes.

I love the fact that this series is set in a fictional country because that then gives it licence for the characters to be a little bit crazy and still remain believable. If this book was based around a fictional British Monarchy I don't think I would have loved it anywhere near as much.

I am so glad this book lived up to my expectations and I cannot wait to see what book 3 brings us as this is turning out to be one hell of series.

Some men are born responsible, some men have responsibility thrust upon them. Henry John Edgar Thomas Pembrook, Prince of Wessco, just got the motherlode of all responsibility dumped in his regal lap.

He’s not handling it well.

Hoping to help her grandson to rise to the occasion, Queen Lenora agrees to give him "space"—but while the Queen’s away, the Prince will play. After a chance meeting with an American television producer, Henry finally makes a decision all on his own:

Welcome to Matched: Royal Edition.

A reality TV dating game show featuring twenty of the world's most beautiful blue bloods gathered in the same castle. Only one will win the diamond tiara, only one will capture the handsome prince’s heart.

While Henry revels in the sexy, raunchy antics of the contestants as they fight, literally, for his affection, it’s the quiet, bespectacled girl in the corner—with the voice of an angel and a body that would tempt a saint—who catches his eye.

The more Henry gets to know Sarah Mirabelle Zinnia Von Titebottum, the more enamored he becomes of her simple beauty, her strength, her kind spirit... and her naughty sense of humor.

But Rome wasn’t built in a day—and irresponsible royals aren’t reformed overnight.

As he endeavors to right his wrongs, old words take on whole new meanings for the dashing Prince. Words like, Duty, Honor and most of all—Love.
