Review: The Neighborhood (Twin Estates #2) by Stylo Fantome

*****5 Stars*****

Firstly, if you haven’t read book one in this series then you really need to in order to understand this second instalment from this series and my review may contain spoilers if not too.

I feel like I’ve been stood at my window twitching at my curtains waiting for this book to find out where the author takes this story after the bombshell ending to the first book. As such I was happy to see that we pick the story up right where we left of and are pulled back into the situation between Katya, Liam and Wulfric. Katya is understandably hurt and angry, Liam appears sorry and Wulfric is…..well Wulfric.

What we see more of in this book is Katya concentrating more on herself and the initial reason she got into this mess, of stepping out of her shell, happens along the way. Katya is reeling from what the two men did to her and as she works out the situation and what is best for her she turns the table on Liam and Wulfric and plays her own game back on them.

What we get is a fab read with plenty of angst as well as laughs at the banter between the three of them but also plenty of development in these characters along the way. We learn more of Liam and Wulfric and why they are the way they are. At times, I wanted to shake Katya but I get why she chose the path she did and I think it works out better for them all in the long run. At times, I felt they should all just walk away and at others I wanted them to just agree to a three-way relationship as they all vied for the right choices. In the end, it takes some wise words from someone outside of the triangle to help Katya decide what she wants and needs and I was happy with the outcome of this instalment of the series.

After meeting new characters in this book I’m curious as to where they will fit in to the overall series and as such I am already eagerly awaiting the next book.

Things a bad neighbor can do to you:

1. Have loud parties late at night

2. Refuse to mow his lawn

3. Steal your newspapers

4. Rip your heart out and walk all over it

Katya Tocci is willing to admit that she may have bitten off more than she could chew.

Liam Edenhoff showed her a side of life she'd been missing out on - sex and friendship and tacos. But then he betrayed her.

Wulfric Stone taught her that big surprises can come from unexpected places - like from a surly, aggressive, withdrawn bastard. But then he broke her heart.

Now one of them wants forgiveness, and the other wants forever. And Katya? She just wants to forget.

Who knew neighbors could be so difficult?

This story contains scenes of a graphic sexual nature, multiple uses of coarse language, and quite possibly enough confusion to drive a normal person insane. Reader discretion is advised.
