Review: Wolf's Mate (Wind Dragons MC #5) by Chantal Fernando

****3.5 Stars****

While I love this series there is always something lacking but sadly with this latest book I just felt a sense of déjà vu towards the end of the book which left me somewhat disappointed as I had enjoyed these characters up till then. ...
Vinnie AKA Wolf is called in by Talon of a rival MC to repay a marker he owes and the repayment is in the form of providing protection to Talon’s cousin Shayla. Vinnie has a preconceived idea of what to expect from babysitting a spoilt princess type with a price on her head but Shayla soon begins to proves him wrong.
Shayla is a strong character that has a sassy side to her and her attraction to the badass biker is obvious from the start.
I loved the banter between these characters and they were good together. But as much as I enjoyed Vinnie and Shayla’s story the rest of the storyline was choppy and at times felt rushed and a little clichéd. While I was happy with the outcome of the book I just felt the path their story took is one we have already seen played out in this series so it was a bit of a let-down.
That said it was great catching up with the rest of the characters in this series which provided for some light relief as always.
