Isis and Jack are at war after Isis starts at a new school to find him standoffish and ignorant towards people in general. Jack seems to have a secret past that leaves a shadow over his aims and actions in life and he isn't the only one as Isis has huge secrets as well that's actually put her mind into a traumatic state of defence. Isis is sassy mouthed and constantly in defensive mode especially when it comes to jack and the way he treats people, especially girls that lust after him. Don’t love your enemy. Declare war on him is Isis thoughts but will it keep her from finally falling in love with the enemy?
I kinda liked and kinda didn't like this book although I did find it really predictable at times the story still pulled me enough to keep me reading. Isis was quite sassy mouthed and could hold her own where as Jack was moody and mysterious. Some parts however were a bit confusing when it started changing PoV in mid chapter so maybe an actual name break would be beneficial to readers so they know who's talking. I'm still keen to find out lots of answers to the mysteries surrounding Isis and Jack which will hopefully be in book 2.
