Review: Lay Your Hands On Me (Rock Stars in Disguise #3) by Blair Babylon

*****5 Stars*****

There are very few authors who can successfully create an entire universe of characters, in multiple books, and yet have it all feel comprehensive and inclusive. Blair Babylon is one of those authors.
I have no idea how many books are in her Rock Stars in Disguise and Billionaire in Disguise series, but it's a bunch of them. It may seem a bit confusing at times, but they all perfectly interact with each other, playing off one another in ways that are both surprising and delightful. But the best thing is that you don't have to read them all to keep up with the story in each arc. All you need to do is read the books in the specific arc you are interested in.
For example, this is the third book in the Xan and Georgie storyline, so you really must read book one (Every Breath You Take) and book two (Wild Thing) before starting this one. But you don't really have to read any of the books featuring Rae or Lizzy or Rhianna or Tryp. However, that doesn't mean you shouldn't read them. They are all simply amazing.
This third book is a bit of a transition book in this series. It picks up right where the last book ended. Unfortunately things are going to get worse for our dynamic musical duo before it gets better. The Russian Mafia is still after Georgie, forcing them to do things they don't really want to do. The stakes have never been higher. The heat has never been hotter, and the sparks have never been brighter.
Will Georgie and Xan get out of their own way and allow themselves to have what they so desperately want, even if they can't admit it yet? Will Georgie be strong enough for both of them? Will the Russian Mafia ever be satisfied? Will the Rock God, Xan, ever admit that he is in love with Georgie? Will their souls ever merge as seems destined to be, or will they be torn apart by forces outside their control?
This book answers many of these questions, but leaves many others hanging. It also raises some new questions. But it will all be wrapped up in the fourth and final book in Georgie and Xan's story which is due out in November and will be called Nothing Else Matters. I can't wait to read the end of their story.

Synopsis

Xan Valentine, the rock star that Rolling Stone called “sex incarnate,” stands in the spotlight every night and sings love songs to the women in the audience. They swoon. They scream. They believe him. Georgie doesn't.

They didn't see him nearly beat two men to death until someone pulled him off. They’ve never seen the coldness in his dark eyes while he sat across a table, negotiating a contract that broke their hearts.

He’s never stolen into their bedroom at night, slid into their bed, and made love to them until dawn, and he’s never treated them like it never happened while the bitemarks on their backs and thighs were still sore.

They’ve never seen him play the violin like an angel.

Or a demon.

Georgie is officially in his band now, playing the keyboards, and every concert drives the music deeper into her soul. If Georgie leaves the protection of the band and Xan Valentine, the Russian mafia will kidnap and kill her. If she stays and plays in his band for just a few more weeks, Xan will pay for her college and law school.

If her heart can survive even one more night with him.
